Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Business Development and Thought Leadership leader will articulate and drive our sustainability work at the intersection of business, research, and communications. This individual will create a more holistic strategy for the Chief Sustainability Office to strengthen relationships both internally and externally, embedding sustainability in partnership and business discussions, and ensuring that the CSO is a growth enabler for business as well as driving thoughtful perspectives in technology and sustainability. They are responsible for:Creating a strategy for business development opportunities and executing against that with the appropriate stakeholdersEngaging with clients, partners, and internal business (sales, product, services) and corporate stakeholders proactivelyMonitoring global trends and regulations to ensure relevance and opportunitiesEngaging proactively with relevant associations, organizations, and individuals globally to identify areas for partnershipEngaging with technology and consulting teams to discuss and manage relevant use casesIdentifying the relevant and critical external thought leadership partners externally, engaging on the appropriate opportunities, and executing on substance with the IBM Research, Technology, and/or Consulting leadsRequired Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience identifying and assessing business and partner opportunitiesSustainability technical and policy expertiseExperience with creating and executing on strategy with critical thinkingHighly collaborative in nature, able to identify and work across a diverse set of stakeholdersExcellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate to a broad range of stakeholdersPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience and technical skills using various databases, IT apps; ability and strong drive to learn and develop new relevant software skills (e.g., automation and AI)Experience and network with relevant sustainability-oriented associations, regulators, technology providers and an understanding of market trends

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
