Scope of Work: Provide targeted outreach to trainers, businesses, and job seekers. Actively foster relationships between businesses and training providers to create industry driven training programs in Manufacturing and Technology. Provide and coordinate retention and training/work readiness services to assist potential participants in accessing training programs in Manufacturing and Technology, successfully completing training programs, and obtaining employment in Manufacturing and Technology jobs. Responsibilities: Coordinate local businesses, training providers, unions, etc. to identify training needs not currently being met. Facilitate training curriculum development with businesses, unions, and training providers ensuring that training meets the needs of local businesses. Collaborate with American Job Center staff to identify potential candidates for trainings. Create, develop, and implement a regional marketing and outreach plan for Manufacturing and Tech employment and training opportunities. Coordinate referrals to employment and training opportunities with Community Based Organizations, Faith-Based organizations, Department of Social Services, American Job Centers, etc. Coordination will include, but is not limited to, information sessions, presentations, meet-and-greet events. The goal is to raise awareness among community service providers to share with all community populations. Reaching diverse and underserved populations is a priority. Coordinate and provide work readiness services to training participants including, but not limited to, resume preparation, mock interviews, job search assistance, etc. Collaborate to tailor existing job preparation resources. Maintain rapport with clients, staff, and collaborative agencies. Maintain rapport with local employers, general public, and other community agencies. Ensure that the clients are assessed and referred to open jobs appropriately. Work closely (1:1) and in group settings with training participants to develop job retention skills. Arrange and problem-solve transportation issues, childcare issues, and other barriers to training and employment stability. Make referrals to appropriate community resources. Assist with establishing and facilitating business commitments to engage trainees through meet-and-greets, job shadowing, internship opportunities, targeted job fairs, recruitment events, and interviews for training graduates. Utilize existing database information on local businesses in manufacturing and tech for use in seeking the above commitments. Performs all other duties assigned. Administrative Complete all reporting required by funding sources and the WIB. Logistical preparation for events and trainings. Manage a performance tracking system, which meet clients needs and all regulatory obligations. Submit all regulatory and funder requested reports in an accurate and timely fashion. Performs all other duties assigned. Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelors Degree; preferred Masters Degree and academic background in education, business or human services. Experience working with underserved populations preferred. Computer literacy (Microsoft). Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Experience in collaborative and creative work settings.
