Building on its history of innovation, Carpenter's wrought and powder technology capabilities support a range of next-generation products and manufacturing techniques, including novel magnetic materials and additive manufacturing.CORPORATE LEAVE SPECIALIST II - BENEFITSLocation(s): Can be located at any of Carpenter Technology Corporation's sites.THE CORPORATE LEAVE SPECIALIST II - BENEFITS WILLPreserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation and follow all HIPAA/PHI guidelines.Under general supervision, administers Active Employee leave programs.Interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.).Provide various forms of assistance directly to employees in understanding and utilizing assigned benefit programs and return work procedures.Provides extensive case management and coordinates administrative aspects of the cases and claims.Work with HRBPs, manager and supervisors regarding any employee leave issues, including analyzing results.Prepares the weekly short-term disability earning file and monitors short-term disability payments.Creates and maintains process management in areas assigned.Assists in the maintenance of leave-related data in HRIS.Ensures compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.Recommends plan design and process improvement to manager.Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CORPORATE LEAVE SPECIALIST II - BENEFITSHigh school diploma required. Associates degree preferred.One or more years of leave administration experience (preferred) or 1.5+ years' experience in a rules-driven, data analytics environment. Workday experience is a plus.Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. Ability to formulate concise presentations which effectively address key areas of focus.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Self-learner/self-motivator.Requires ability to describe complex information in layman's terms to communicate with employees and vendors to educate on company policy, benefits programs, and resolution of claim issues. Must have the ability to reason with others.
