Position Overview:
The Senior Healthcare Consultant is a critical role within the SEI practice area, responsible for driving the execution of complex projects and providing expert guidance on healthcare policy and program implementation. This role demands a strong blend of analytical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to navigate the intricacies of public sector healthcare programs.
Essential Functions:
Lead the delivery of key project components, ensuring that all work meets high standards of quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction. Oversee project activities such as needs assessments, data analysis, and policy design.
Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, present findings, and recommend solutions. Build trusted relationships with client teams, providing expertise and insights that add value to their operations.
Knowledgeable and has strong acumen to apply quantitative and qualitative data collection methods and conduct detailed analysis, expertly assess policy impacts, and public sector program effectiveness. Produce well-written findings, conclusions, and sound evidence-based recommendations. Translate complex data into actionable insights and develop comprehensive reports and presentations.
Work collaboratively with Sr. Managers, Managers, and other Senior Consultants to provide guidance and support to project teams. Mentor junior consultants, contributing to their professional growth and development.
Facilitate coordination among project stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience; Master's degree in healthcare administration, public health, policy, or a related field strongly preferred.
At least 3 years of related experience required; 5 years of experience in healthcare consulting, particularly in Medicaid and public sector projects strongly preferred.
Significant ability to conduct social science research and produce well-written findings, conclusions, and sound evidence-based recommendations.
Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data collection methods and analysis, project management, and policy development. Familiarity with relevant tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, data visualization tools).
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively to clients and team members.
Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex problems in dynamic environments.
High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all work products.
The Team:
Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the employee will report to one of our Managers or Senior Managers on the Consulting engagement team.
Work Style:
Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. Dependent on performance, our in-office associates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after their initial 90-day training period. As a company, we are always willing to discuss potential flexibility that an employee may need to better suit their work-life wellbeing.
