SOX ComplianceConsultant (IT Focus)
Location: San Diego, CASchedule: Full TimePay: $70-$85/hour
Our client is seeking a strong SOX Compliance Consultant with a focus on IT, to support their team.
Key Responsibilities:Participate in annual and ongoing SOX scoping to identify changes in financial accounts, processes, and controls.Collaborate with control owners and auditors to design/redesign controls and address control deficiencies.Develop and implement remediation plans while maintaining the risk and control matrix in AuditBoard.Manage process walkthroughs and testing, coordinate auditor requests, and promote risk awareness across all levels.Utilize AuditBoard to manage SOX program components, including risk and control matrix maintenance.Assist with SOC report reviews on behalf of management.Provide SOX guidance on new system implementations and ensure control owners are prepared for IT-related control requirements.Requirements:5+ years of experience in SOX compliance, project management, and audit.AuditBoard experience : Must have hands-on experience with AuditBoard to contribute immediately.Strong knowledge of ITGCs , automated controls , and NetSuite ITAC .Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) requirements for SOX.Experience with SOC report assessments .Must-Haves:Extensive AuditBoard experience.Strong compliance and project management background.Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to plan, schedule, and manage tasks across different teams.Proactive, results-driven, and able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.Vaco values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.EEO Notice

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:the individual's skill sets, experience and training;licensure and certification requirements;office location and other geographic considerations;other business and organizational needs.With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
