A typical day in the life of a Governmental Advisory Services Senior Consultant may include the following:Oversee ongoing and one-time advisory engagements and special studies related to state and local government financial, operational, and policy issues.Apply knowledge and understanding of government industry standards and best practices related to finance and accounting.Manage a team performing routine assessments of processes, procedures, internal controls, and transactions.Introduce efficiencies to applications in practice to enhance the decision-making process.Ensure cyclical accounting and financial reporting objectives of the client are met.Utilize Microsoft Excel advanced concepts to analyze large amounts of financial data.Provide coaching and support to team members through delegation and supervision of engagement tasks.Establish and maintain effective client relationships regarding advisory matters.Who You Are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with 5-10 years of experience in the government industry including supervisory experience.You have advanced knowledge of government accounting and financial management standards applicable at the state and/or local level.You are intellectually curious and solutions-oriented, enjoying working independently and in small groups.You take a creative approach when applying analytical and critical thinking skills.You are skilled in developing a professional network and comfortable pursuing new business opportunities.You have strong verbal and written communication skills and effective presentation skills.You are a multi-tasking master, with a strong ability to meet deadlines.You are able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.You enjoy coaching and mentoring team members.You hold yourself to the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality.Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.Culture at Eide Bailly

$100,000-$175,000

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.Benefits
