The company has been honored for its record of performance by national magazines such as INC, Forbes, and Fortune Small Business.As a Programs Manager, you will be a member of a highly capable team developing new technologies supporting next level communication/sensing payloads and space missions in the SMS business area. SMS is a growing business area within the Government Segment. Program Managers are required to solve multiple program and technical challenges as well as operate effectively through ambiguity. Core accountabilities include managing scope, cost and schedule performance on complex development programs; embracing continuous process improvement; leading proposal opportunities; and leading emerging special programs.The successful candidate will be able to develop customer relationships, guide engineering teams through complex developments, ensure customer requirements are satisfied and perform within cost and schedule constraints.The day-to-day

In this role you will work on sophisticated space programs and be responsible for the program execution through leadership, planning, scheduling, financial reporting, budgeting, and managing contract deliverables. You will identify and mitigate risks and collaborate with program customers (internal and external). You will use your leadership, problem-solving, performance analysis and metrics experience to make trade decisions, apply formal program management techniques (i.e., EVMS) to achieve program and business area goals which are key for your success.What you'll need

10+ years of professional experience in Program Management or Program DirectionProven experience selling space systems, space technologies, and communications technologies to the Federal government and commercial sectorsProven ability to establish and cultivate strategic relationships leveraging an established network of contacts within the space industry, to include government/industry decision-makers at satellite operators, prime contractors/system integrators, component suppliers, and acquisition agenciesProven experience with program planning; monitoring and control; financial accounting; contracts; risk management; and earned valueStrong communication skills - both verbal and writtenExperience with leading and writing proposals, including proposal preparation, estimating, review of the technical response to bids, presentation materials, and reportsExperience leading programs in the development of space systems, spacecraft, components, and/or complex electromechanical systems, including RF and Optical CommunicationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experienceUS Government position. US Citizenship requiredActive DoD TS/SCI Clearance or ability to obtain when administratively feasibleUp to 25% domestic travelThis role must be based in Tempe, ArizonaWhat will help you on the job

Active TS/SCI with SSBI clearanceExperience with government programs and products including government contract requirements, flow downs, and FARS/DFARS

Experience with leading payload and/or electronics development for space applications

Experience leading one or mor Space Vehicle missions

Master's degree in Engineering

Ability to perform first-order systems level analysis

Salary range

$185,000.00 - $272,700.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $229,800.00- $321,700.00/ annually
