Director of Administration and Finance, Molecular Biosciences Department

Manage all administrative operations for a large academic unit and research centers (18 staff). Seeks out opportunities for business process improvement while ensuring compliance to university policies. Provide a high level of support for faculty, staff, and students in the academic department.Oversight of the department budget, including balance review reporting, endowment management, external review reporting, annual BUD submission, scholarship processing, and compliance for units procard verification. Provide other reporting as necessary to endowed chairs.Support the Department Chair with projects and strategic planning.Oversee all aspects of tenure/tenure track faculty affairs management, including recruitment, faculty promotions and reviews, tracking appointments, activity reports, and summer support.Serve as liaison between department and other UT offices. Coordinates and prepares various university reports as required.Other duties and projects as assigned.
