Intellectual Property Analyst and ConsultantThe Opportunity:To achieve their mission, our clients need strong team members who can perform intellectual property (IP) analyses across a broad range of technologies, assist in evaluating blocking IP, and advise on general patent issues, including freedom to operate. That is why we need you, an experienced Intellectual Property Analyst who can provide high-quality support.As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical consultant to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. Work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assist with the management of current programs, and facilitate commercialization of successfully developed technologies.What You'll Work On:Collaborate with agency staff to perform IP analyses across a broad range of health technology areas.Help inform program conceptualization and project selection by identifying potential blocking IP and assessing freedom to operate.Support legal staff in drafting contract terms for selected projects.You Have:3+ years of experience in document management, IP tracking, and patent reporting.3+ years of experience assessing IP across a broad range of technologies and evaluating blocking IP.3+ years of experience advising on general patent issues, including Government rights to royalties and freedom to operate.Experience supporting government agencies.Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.Bachelor's degree.Nice If You Have:Experience with IP in health or healthcare technology.Experience with U.S. government health organizations.Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.Ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects effectively.Ability to pay strict attention to details and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables.Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.J.D. degree.Vetting:Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.Compensation:At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being.
