A law firm seeks a skilled Defense Litigation Attorney to join its legal team in Coral Gables, FL. This role involves representing clients in civil litigation cases, including personal injury, premises liability, and insurance defense matters. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, experience in various areas of law, and a passion for delivering excellent legal services.Duties:Represent clients in civil litigation cases, including personal injury, premises liability, and insurance defense.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials as required.Provide legal counsel to clients on a wide range of legal issues.Stay updated on relevant changes in laws and regulations.Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to ensure case success.Manage and maintain case files and documentation.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the Florida Bar (required).Proven experience in personal injury law, premises liability, and insurance defense.Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in legal research using tools such as Westlaw.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida (required).Skills:Proficient in legal research, writing, and case analysis.Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex cases.Excellent communication and client management abilities.Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Location:Coral Gables, FL (Full-Time, On-site)Competitive compensation package.Collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional development.This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an attorney with a passion for litigation to grow within a dynamic legal team, handling complex civil cases and working on behalf of clients in insurance defense and other areas of law.
