Delivering Solutions and Improving Lives .We are looking for a Senior Consultant to support our project work through excellent project & client management, as well as thought leadership, staff mentorship, and research and analysis of clean energy and decarbonization technologies, practices, and programs. This position will contribute proactive engagement with clients, communication facilitation and consensus-building, scoping and overseeing complex project plans, supervision of key deliverables including leading presentation of results, and overall accountability for project success. Projects will cover a range of subject areas including emerging technologies, distributed energy resources, strategic electrification, active demand response, energy storage, and new electricity grid technologies. You will collaborate with analysts conducting complex analytical projects to ensure deliverables meet client needs and are delivered on time and within budget. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience as a project manager and client relationship lead working in energy efficiency, demand response, electrification, decarbonization or related topics. This position is a fully remote role and the successful candidate can be based anywhere in the US.Responsibilities
Scope, organize, and manage complex projects and client relationships. Build understanding of client pain points and needs to grow scopes of work over time and identify opportunities for new work areas.Mentor and manage junior staff project contributions and deliverables, including providing constructive feedback and engaging in iterative development of deliverables.Conduct analysis of policies and programs that promote sustainable energy.Conceive, develop, and present clear, understandable deliverables that are responsive to client needs and inquiries. Draw on subject matter experts across project teams to maximize quality of service provided and ensure efficient allocation of project team's time.Align project scopes and budgets with client needs and expectations through clear, proactive communication.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience working in the clean energy industry.Knowledge of clean energy technologies, practices, policies, and programs.Excellent organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple competing priorities and deadlines for yourself and others working on projects or project areas that you lead.Demonstrated experience as project manager and/or client relationship lead in energy efficiency, demand response, decarbonization, or related fields strongly preferred.Excellent oral communication skills including the ability to translate technical information for a variety of audiences, as well as to facilitate group discussions and achieve consensus or compromise.Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and synthesize information.Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.Excellent written communication skills that support NV5's focus on producing clear, concise, and understandable deliverables.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.Experience with other analytical software and/or coding languages such as Python and R a plus.The pay range for this position is $100,000.00- $150,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience of the candidate, and/or market location. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.Applicants should apply via the NV5 careers site.
