A law firm seeks a skilled Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join its Baltimore office. This role focuses on defending clients in personal injury and property damage cases, with opportunities for hybrid work. The ideal candidate will have experience across various areas of litigation, including product liability, construction litigation, toxic torts defense, and premises liability. Initial training is in-office, followed by a flexible work schedule.Duties:
Conduct legal research on complex issues related to insurance defense casesDraft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and discovery documents in a timely mannerManage a high volume of cases, ensuring all deadlines are metPrepare for and attend court appearances, client meetings, and depositionsCommunicate effectively with clients to provide case updates and guidanceCollaborate closely with other attorneys and support staff within the firmRequirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigationStrong academic background with excellent research, writing, and communication skillsAbility to work independently, with high attention to detail and organizational skillsPreferred experience in complex general liability, professional liability, construction litigation, property damage, personal injury defense, and transportation lawEducation:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertifications:
Licensed to practice law in Maryland (required)Admission to additional jurisdictions, such as DC, PA, or VA, is a plusSkills:
