If you’re ready to blend hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, we invite you to apply!POSITION SUMMARY:The IT Operations Manager is responsible for managing the administration and operation of Michigan Virtual’s IT infrastructure and core business systems. This role oversees a team of IT professionals and coordinates with managed service providers (MSPs) to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions. The IT Operations Manager drives innovation, optimizes technology resources, and manages critical aspects of cybersecurity and data privacy. This hands-on position combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, aligning technology strategy with business goals to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Required:Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 4 years of experience in:
Leading teams within IT, core business systems, or systems management.Overseeing core business systems, infrastructure, and technology projects.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and implementing technology solutions aligned with organizational goals.Experience with large-scale IT implementations, managed service provider (MSP) coordination, and change management.Preferred:Familiarity with cloud technologies, IT infrastructure management, and network architecture.Strong data analysis and reporting skills.Experience implementing and managing CIS (Center for Internet Security) Controls to strengthen security posture and safeguard organizational systems and data.Knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments, network security, and backup and disaster recovery procedures.
