E&S Binding Contract Underwriter

Our client is seeking an E&S Binding Contract Underwriter to join their high-growth Underwriting Department. This role involves underwriting and managing a portfolio of risks within the Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines of business, with a focus on binding authority agreements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in E&S insurance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and agents. This position is based in the Greater Atlanta office and offers a hybrid work arrangement.Evaluate, underwrite, and bind coverage for a variety of risks within the E&S market, following company guidelines and delegated authority agreements.Manage and maintain binding authority agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and underwriting guidelines.Develop and nurture strong relationships with brokers and agents, providing exceptional service and support.Qualifications:5 - 10+ years of experience in underwriting, with a focus on E&S lines and binding authority contracts.Strong analytical and decision-making skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and proficiency in underwriting software and tools.Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Salary/Benefits:$125,000 to $150,000+ annual base salary plus 10 - 30% target bonus.Flexible schedule and ability to work remotely.Competitive Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life plans.Employer matching 401(k) plan.Generous PTO plan.Employee Stock Purchase Plan with employer matching.
