What You Can Expect
As the Operational Technology Systems and Process Engineer Advisor in Boston, Massachusetts for ENGIE North America you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing technical solutions to facilitate the integration and standardization of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems. This role involves providing expert guidance in resolving complex technical challenges related to IT/OT convergence, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the secure integration of IT/OT systems and perform plant and system data management across all managed sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong functional background in both IT and OT process management, effectively bridging the gap between these critical domains.
Everyday, you will report to the Systems Operation Director to oversee the operational technology (OT) plant data processing functions along with managing OT systems within a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities:Understanding of business best practices of OPC, SCADA Historian, DAHS/CEMS and other key plant systems.Collaborate with Plant SCADA Instrumentation Technicians, Plant Maintenance personnel, and Regulatory Compliance agencies to establish and implement best practices, as well as company IT and OT standards, for the configuration, security, and maintenance of plant Industrial Control Systems (ICS).Document tasks to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards, including infrastructure changes, compliance assessments, testing of significant changes, system configurations, access reviews, and equipment disposal.
What You'll BringA minimum of a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or related technical field where you have gained an understanding in information technology and infrastructure environments along with seven (7) years of experience in IT Server Operations and Operational Technology (OT) / Industrial Controls Systems (ICS) in a professional setting; in lieu of a degree, you will have a minimum of nine (9) years' experience in IT Server Operations with OT/ ICS in a professional setting.Experience in managing and supporting Microsoft Windows OS technology, including Microsoft Active Directory Management. Certification is a plus.Knowledge of virtualization technology, specifically VMWare ESXi and Nutanix AHV.Proficiency and working knowledge of SCADA system platforms; Factory Talk, Aveva PI, iFix, GE Simplicity.Understanding and compliance with NERC CIP standards, processes, and controls; participation in SCADA Network security assessments and audits is advantageous.Understanding of SCADA system communication and protocols to secure the network without impacting reliability is beneficial; Modbus; BacNet; TCP/IP.
Additional DetailsThis role is eligible for our hybrid work policy three (3) days a week when not traveling.This role requires attendance at a worksite on a rotation basis.Must be available to travel domestically up to 30% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips.Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record; use of company vehicle, ability to drive to site locations.Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.This position consists of 30% of outdoor work; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions.Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) provided by ENGIE is mandatory.
Compensation
Salary Range:
$96,100 - $147,660 USD annually.
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
