We primarily work with law firms, insurance companies, and manufacturers on small to large-scale projects to answer any technical questions they have. The variety and depth of our project work creates a variety of fulfilling roles at ESi.Some of the benefits we can offer you!Professional Development investmentLife Insurance/Voluntary Life Insurance401k with employer matchMerit BonusAnnual BonusFlexible Time Off (FTO) - encouraged to take at least 20 days of paid time off/yearPet InsuranceWork/Life Balance10 paid holidays (9 standard holidays and 1 floating holiday)Access to Wellbeats - on-demand fitness & well-being videosWellness Reimbursement30-minute fitness break available in addition to 1-hour lunch breakBusiness casual dress code and positive working environmentContinuing education opportunitiesKey Responsibilities:Conduct field investigations as needed.Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and research.Work with clients to assess their objectives and perform fundamental mechanical analysis for a wide array of applications and industries.Document analytical findings in reports and make presentations to clients.Execute tests and analysis in support of scientific investigations and experiments.Conduct engineering analyses and technical investigations pertaining to mechanical systems and equipment.Prepare technical reports and provide professional opinions and advice for clients or others.Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.Confers with project staff to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.Direct and coordinate project activities and personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.Review, or in some cases formulate, status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.Work effectively within a multidisciplinary consultancy team.Education Requirements:B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering preferred.Experience Requirements:Minimum 2 years of industrial experience.Excellent technical and critical thinking skills.Experience in evaluating technologies and manufacturing operations and reviewing processes and product designs.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Registered mechanical professional engineer (P.E.) or possess the ability to become registered.Computer Skills:Familiarity with various pre- and post-processing software tools. Expertise in either commercial solvers or programming languages used for high performance computing (Fortran, C, C++, Python).Other Skills/Abilities or Other Qualifications:Experience with product engineering and components a plus.Knowledge of fundamental computational methods (Finite Element Analysis and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics).System and failure analysis.Fracture mechanics and other advanced knowledge of the mechanics of materials.Experience and/or interest in design analysis fuel gases product engineering fluids machine safeguarding/OSHA safety materials.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner and develop business both internally and externally.Must be able to work or travel on weekends and holidays as required.Compensation:
