With nine current hospitals across Indiana, Arizona, and Texas, we are continuing our growth to ensure better access to our unique model of care.Overview:NPH is adding a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve our patients and leadership team in Clear Lake, Houston, TX. The CFO will have oversite and accountability for overall financial operations and day-to-day fiscal management of the hospital. This is a new position due to the growth of our organization!Benefits of joining NPHCompetitive compensation structureMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceNPH 401(k) plan with up to 4% Company matchEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) ProgramsGenerous PTO and Time Off PolicySpecial tuition offers through Capella UniversityWork/life balance with great professional growth opportunitiesEmployee Discounts through LifeMartThe chance to grow your leadership career with a dynamic organizationResponsibilities:Ensure completion of timely and accurate monthly financial statements, including monthly operating reports, certifications, disclosures, and forecastsBalance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and in compliance with company policies with variances identified and correctedConfirm accounting and business office policies and internal controls are in place for audit with no material adjustments or deficiencies foundPrepares annual operating budget and participates in the annual strategic planning process, including ongoing analysis of variances from budget and implementing changes needed to achieve budget goals.Has thorough working knowledge of federal, state and managed care reimbursement methodologies to confirm accuracy of payment to facilities and recorded revenue deductions.Routinely review revenue cycle metrics to identify and address issues affecting overall performance to include: timely collection of accounts receivable, limiting uncompensated care and achieving goals for cash collections and AR days to reduce bad debt and denials.Actively involved in Front End Revenue Cycle processes to include: completed insurance verification on 100% of patients, working with the financial counselors to ensure proper determination of patient portions and, approval of any discounts or charity for logging of upfront collections.Monitors purchases to ensure supply costs are kept to budgeted levels.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business-related field with major in Accounting required; Master's degree or CPA a plus.At least 3 years of successful CFO experience in a healthcare setting desiredPrevious Behavioral healthcare experience highly preferred.Previous experience with a proprietary healthcare system a plusMust live within market being servedExcellent financial analysis skills.Advanced proficiency with software packages including Excel and Word.Job Type: Full-time
