Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Purpose of Position:
The role develops the master schedule for Engineering, Furnish, and Install (EF&I) Programs by analyzing data from multiple sources and applying capacity constraints to the schedule. Works cross-functionally to ensure the master schedule is understood and executed at each team/functional level. Communicates the schedule to the customer and forecasts upcoming production risks. Provides the Corning Program team with a clear understanding of performance with respect to the master schedule.
Work Hours:
40 hours/week. Some off-hours support may be needed at times.
Travel:
Occasional travel to customer locations ( Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a technical fieldPrevious leadership experience with proven successAbility to align and influence teams to deliver resultsAbility to simplify complex situations and deal with ambiguityStrong skills in data analysisExtensive knowledge in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)Strong communications (particularly upward to customer executives) and interpersonal skillsAssertive, result-oriented and responsive; utilizes network, SMEs and other available resources to facilitate driving tasks to closureAbility to maintain composure and professional demeanor at all timesFluent in written and spoken English
This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
The range for this position is $79,584.00 - $109,428.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
