Special Information

This is a 10 month, full time position.This position is subject to the availability of funding. The incumbent is not eligible for Service Professional non-renewal notice, or Classified Staff layoff or recall status.This position is an on-site position which requires the incumbent to complete their work primarily at an NAU site, campus, or facility with or without accommodation. Opportunities for remote work are rare.

Job Description

This Research Coordinator position will be based in the Health Sciences department, within the NAU College of Health and Human Services. The selected individual will be responsible for coordinating research and administrative tasks for two to three grants for Dr. Olivia Lindly in the Health Sciences department. The incumbent will assist with planning, coordinating and monitoring the execution of research activities of moderate complexity. The position will act as point person for administrative and logistical activities required to support research. May support the conduct of research through data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

Research - 40%

Assist with the preparation of Institutional Review Board materials.Preparation of grant application materials.Assist with participant recruitment and project outreach activities.Assist with informed consent and data collection.Create other project materials such as research recruitment flyers.Preparation of grant application materials.Conduct literature reviews on research findings related to grant funded work.Contribute to the development of research presentations and manuscripts.

Grant Management and Funds Oversight - 30%

Coordinate project team meetings.Take and distributing high-level meeting minutes.Purchase project equipment such as hotspots and software needed for research activities.Purchase and administer from grant funds gift cards to research participants.Process purchase of food for community meetings.Review and approve part-time student and employee timesheets.Assist with the preparation of project invoices and check requests.Assist with onboarding grant funded part-time employees, assisting with monitoring their hours for grant requirements.Participate in grants management meetings.

Data Metrics - 20%

Constructing data collection databases in Qualtrics and REDCap.Testing databases.Performing data management and analysis.

Academic/Lab and Community Liaison - 5%

Conduct community outreach activities.Coordinate community advisory board meetings.Participate in relevant organizational meetings.

Other - 5%

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in relevant discipline.2-4 years of research support experience.A combination of related education, experience and training may be used as an equivalent to the above Minimum Requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Academic presentation and publication track record.Experience completing purchase orders and onb arding part-time employees at NAU.Proficiency using Microsoft Teams and other programs.Quantitative and qualitative data analysis experience.Experience preparing institutional review board materials such as new protocols and amendments.Interest in community-engaged autism research.1-2 years of experience working on grant-funded research in a university setting.Written and spoken English proficiency.
