Shuttle Driver

will operate a variety of passenger shuttle buses throughout the City and County of San Francisco. The primary purpose of the position is to safely transport staff, faculty, and students who are required to travel between campus sites to fulfill their work and school related obligations. The drivers also support patient transportation to various UCSF clinical facilities on regular shuttles or on-demand Jitney service.

The Department's programs and services indirectly benefit the local communities surrounding UCSF's many campuses and facilities in terms of accessibility and community livability. Under direct supervision of Shuttle Supervisors, the Principal Automotive Equipment Operator or Shuttle Driver will operate a variety of passenger shuttle buses throughout the City and County of San Francisco. The primary purpose of the position is to safely transport staff, faculty, and students who are required to travel between campus sites to fulfill their work and school related obligations. The drivers also support patient transportation to various UCSF clinical facilities on regular shuttles or on-demand Jitney service.Required Qualifications* One year experience in the operation of commercial automotive equipment or an equivalent combination of education and experience* Valid California Department of Motor Vehicles Driver's License with no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses* Current Class B Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement, Air Brakes Endorsement, and medical certification* Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations* Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines* Good oral and written communication skills
