This Senior Manager - International Tax position offers opportunities to build your career, while growing your leadership and interpersonal skills.The Senior Manager - International Tax will report to the Associate Director - International Tax. This position will support the international income tax function and will have the ability to drive change through the use of process automation and digital tools.Responsibilities:
Support Associate Director - International Tax with the management of the overall international income tax compliance function, including the supervision of an outsourcing engagement with a Big 4 accounting firm.Management of other compliance deliverables including FBAR, FATCA, Form 1042 reporting, treaty certificates, Form W8s, etc.Support tax planning function on transactions related to dividend planning, acquisitions, reorganizations, etc.Research tax technical questions and maintain strong understanding of international tax regulations (i.e., Sub F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, FTC, etc.).Support audit function and respond to Information Document Requests (IDRs) related to Verizon's international income tax reporting.Support quarterly and year-end close processes, including modeling and forecasting related to Verizon's non-US activities.Streamlining and optimizing tax processes through the use of various digital finance tools, including Alteryx, Qlik and other technologies.Support federal income tax compliance activities.Supervising and reviewing work of others.Developing and maintaining relationships with various teams throughout Verizon including, but not limited to, Tax Policy, Treasury and FP&A in order to gain compliance, accounting and reporting efficiencies.Where you'll be working...

You'll need to have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or four or more years of work experience.Six or more years of relevant work experience.Knowledge of Tax Accounting principles including APB 23.Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to effectively partner with the business, other VZ Finance teams and other VZ Tax teams.Even better if you have one or more of the following:A CPA, Masters of Tax or Masters of Accounting.Experience in the international income tax field.Experience with OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Apportionment.Solid data management and automation skills required; experience with Alteryx or Qlik is a significant plus.Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with individuals at all levels in a team environment.An ability to navigate and negotiate through conflicting demands to maintain focus on priority objectives while ensuring key stakeholders' needs are met.Equal Employment OpportunityWe're proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees' differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status.
