About the Team:As the Director of Sales Public SMB West team you will align with our broader Public Sector sales team. At UKG we foster a company culture that supports success at every level, prioritizing our employees. While the challenges are significant, UKG provides ample support for our sales teams to thrive. You will will lead a team of Account Executive and be tasked with maximizing sales revenue and exceeding annual profitability goals for UKG’s Public Sector Sales team. Collaboration is key—you’ll work closely with Sales peers and senior leadership across functional areas to establish strong partnerships that drive incredible success for your team of sales executives and our customers.
About the Role:This role involves leading and managing a team of Account Executives who are accountable for selling the UKG solution and other related services to new and existing clients (SMB space 100-500 employees), maximizing the suite of product offerings from UKG for our customers. In alignment with a highly effective sales process, this team will be supported by robust pre-sales and sales operations teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and support the Public Sector sales execs in professional growth, strategy and sales.
Meet and exceed revenue targets.
Set and execute an aggressive sales execution strategy to generate strong annual revenue growth.
Drive long term success with a focus on coaching, development and building high performing teams to ensure revenue growth year over year.
Establish sales best practices and metrics for the following:
o Pipeline Growtho Pipeline accuracy and integrityo Accurate forecastingo Depth of product and industry knowledgeo Standardized sales strategies and account reviews
Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for sales
Create and foster a customer-first, employee-centric highly engaged culture, leading by example through UKG’s values of United, Kind, and Growing
Conducts weekly progress meetings with each Account Executive to review pipeline, sales activity, and obstacles.
Fosters peer collaboration across sales team to enhance the performance of everyone.
Provide feedback to UKG senior management on market trends and methods to become more effective in meeting our goals through deeper service to our customers.
50% travel expected
About You:Basic Qualifications:
7+ years with proven experience selling software solutions to C level Executives including some experience leading sales teams.
3+ years as people leader
Proven success working within a highly matrixed organization and establishing strong relationships across all functions.
Experience selling or leading a team selling Enterprise Level SaaS WFM, HCM, or ERP solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience selling software solutions within the Public Sector
Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence with the ability to hire, on-board and train new Sales Executives.
Consistently exceeded quota and team goals.
Strong negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or Engineering
Experience with commercially available selling methodologies and systems
Strong work ethic while operating with a high-level of integrity, honesty, and commitment to self and others

The base salary range for this position is $155,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for commissions and restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
