Principal Telecom ConsultantIn this role, you will anchor the engagement effort for assignments, all the way from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design, development, and deployment. You will be pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes and deliverables. As a thought leader in your domain, you will be the key advisor to architecture and design reviews. You will anchor business pursuit initiatives, client training, and in-house capability building. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of
Richardson, TX
or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 11 years of overall
Information Technology
experience.
Experience with
Telecom Domain
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in designing and implementing graph databases using Neo4j.
Experience in designing graph models to represent complex relationships between entities.
Proficiency in building APIs and services that interact with Neo4j.
Experience in integrating Neo4j into enterprise data architecture, event-driven architectures, and data lakes.
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used with Neo4j (Java, Python, JavaScript).
Hands-on experience in designing Network discovery engine and data lake.
Hands-on experience in relational and NoSQL (MongoDB).
Experience in designing and implementing Restful APIs, SOAP service Message broker (Kafka).
Hands-on cloud-native architecture (Serverless computing, containerization with Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes).
Experience with discovery/development of network topology ideal.
At least 3 years of experience with carrier network architecture.
1 end-to-end solution implementation in Network discovery.
Understanding L2 technologies - VLANs/VLAN tagging, VTP, Spanning Tree, EtherChannel, port channel, 40Gigabit/10Gigabit switched networks.
Understanding of Cisco/Juniper IP LAN/WAN technologies.
Understanding of TCP/IP and various Internet Protocols DNS, NAT, IPSec, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, SSL, SNMP, NFS, IPv4, IPv6.
Understanding of L3 technologies - IP Sub-netting, IP routing, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, HSRP, VRF, MPLS, EIGRP, Multicast, IPv6.
Ability to simplify network concepts to communicate requirements to the development team.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong knowledge and experience with relational databases (Oracle, graph, etc.) as used to inventory L0/1/2/3 networks.
Experience with Netconf preferred.
The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face-to-face.
