Securities Litigation Associate
to join our Securities practice.Core Responsibilities:
Assist with the development and prosecution of securities cases, including
Investigate and vet potential cases and newly filed casesDevelop confidential witnessesConduct detailed factual and legal analysis of potential securities claimsResearch law
Participate in the prosecution of securities cases including
Draft pleadings including preparation of lead plaintiff motions, consolidated amended complaints, and dispositive motion briefingAffirmative and responsive discovery and trial preparation, including written and deposition discoveryAssist in trial
Requirements and Qualifications:J.D. with 2-4 years’ experience (securities class action and/or derivative litigation experience preferred).Knowledge of the federal securities laws is important, as is a working familiarity with the financial markets and the laws governing derivative actions.Exceptional analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Superior writing, drafting and oral advocacy skills.Highly accomplished academic and employment credentials.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, verbal and written communication skills.Results oriented, self-starter, with a high level of initiative.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with internal and external contacts at all levels.Ability to work independently, shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain patience in high-pressure situations.Must manage highly confidential information with professionalism and unquestionable integrity.Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).Full-time employees become eligible for several benefits on the first of the month following hire, including medical, dental, vision, HSA, life insurance, AD&D, EAP, 401K, LTD and STD.
