JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Counseling Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the financial counseling process. The individual in this position performs vital roles in customer service, supervising, and data collections. Essential duties for this position include, but are not limited to: monitoring the performance of accurate patient interviews; determining the patient's financial responsibility for care, treatment, and/or services; auditing financial records to ensure compliance; adhering to third-party payer standards, which includes obtaining authorization/pre-certification; updating Epic as appropriate to ensure Case Management notification; and completing program applications as appropriate. Performing these duties accurately and efficiently are critical to optimizing the hospital's revenue. This role also involves multi-tasking to ensure efficiency in daily business operations.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED is required.Five years of experience as a financial counselor for the Grady Health System is required.
