ABOUT THE COURTLos Angeles Superior Court is the largest unified trial court in the United States. Its 580 judges and commissioners work in one of the 40 facilities within the Court's 12 judicial districts and are supported by more than 4,500 full-time Court employees. The Court has an annual budget of more than $855 million. Located in Southern California, Los Angeles County is geographically one of the nation's largest counties, covering 4,084 square miles and, with over 10,400,000 residents, is also one of its most populous counties.

ABOUT THE POSITIONLos Angeles Superior Court is seeking dynamic, well-qualified, and highly-motivated individuals to fill

full-time (A-Status), part-time (C-Status), and hourly as needed (F-Status) Court Interpreter positions . Under supervision, Court Interpreters perform a wide variety of language interpretation activities on an assigned and as-needed basis for Los Angeles Superior Court and for persons doing business with the courts. Incumbents perform duties as an interpreter for courtroom and other legal proceedings, which may include, but are not limited to: arraignments, preliminary hearing, pre-trial conference and court trials.TELEWORK OPPORTUNITIESThis position is not eligible for telework opportunities.

Choices Benefit Plan -

Benefits may be purchased using a tax free monthly benefits allowance between $757.46 - $1,632.60 (based on number enrolled in medical coverage). If the monthly cost of the benefits selected is less than the monthly allowance, the employee receives the difference as additional taxable pay.
