As the Finance partner to VP, Global Operations and Supply Chain you will provide insights and analysis driving strategic decisions and operational performance. You are required to proactively identify risks and opportunities and communicate to the VP of Finance and his leadership team to drive actions. In this role, you will be a key member of the Finance Leadership Team. Some key responsibilities include:
Be the strategic Finance Business Partner with key stakeholders and provide analytical insights in driving informed business decisions through scenario planning/financial analysis/financial modeling.
Lead and drive the accurate OPEX & CAPEX forecast and budget.
Lead/Participate in assigned projects through effective collaboration with Finance and other stakeholders.
Coordinate with other departments and operational teams proactively for annual budget, quarterly forecast, and cost allocation based on the understanding of business dynamics; provide constructive challenge/feedback to verify the assumptions made.
Leverage the existing and upcoming accounting systems/ERP/BI tools to drive better efficiency and continuous workflow improvement.
Identify both long-term and short-term risks and opportunities followed with strategic risk mitigation insights.
Provide insightful reviews to enable efficient and effective spending by the business.
Support talent development by identifying their potential, aspirations, development opportunities to contribute to team’s success.
Prepare ad hoc analysis and management presentations as required.
Ensure results are in compliance with GAAP (General Accepted Accounting Principles). Inform senior management of any concerns/issues.
Ensure the region/sites understand the importance of controllership issues, within the finance teams and the wider organization.
Establish strong cost, capital and working capital controls. Manage and improve all aspects of the balance sheet, including, but not limited to, cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payables and accruals.
Direct financial assessment and the management of the growth portfolio and key business initiatives, with involvement in acquisition scouting, assessment, negotiation and integration.
Understand impact of foreign currency rules and transactions. Develop strategies and plans to minimize risk.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferable in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent education and years of experience required.
Over 10 years finance or accounting with P&L or related experience with 5 years prior supervisory or management experience.
Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Experience in specialty finance functions such as reporting, compliance and procurement.
Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Google suite and Oracle.
Has well-developed leadership and project management skills.
Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills.
Fluency in Italian, Spanish, or Norwegian a plus.
