We invite you to be a part of the UT Southwestern team where you'll discover a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and a rewarding career JOB SUMMARY This position plays a critical role in the development, implementation of our precision medicine for Oncology through gene variance with external labs like Foundation Medicine, Guardant, Caris, UTSW NGS Lab, Invitae, and others, execution of performance metrics, and monitoring for multiple Epic modules and Regulatory programs for both ambulatory and inpatient operations. This position will also work on activities for health maintenance of all patients and order sets. Connecting to multiple Next-Generation sequencing (NGS) labs that offer technology for determining the sequence of DNA or RNA to study genetic variation associated with disease and other biological phenomena. JOB DUTIES Participates in analysis of software system problems of moderate complexity and formulates and implements solutions to such problems. Performs programming, testing, and documentation. Recommends development of system routines needed for efficient use of computer system resources; designs approved routines; oversees implementation. May specialize in specific area of system software, such as telecommunications or information systems with responsibility for implementation and maintenance. Participates in planning of enhancements and modifications to software; identifies impact of such changes. Trains Software Systems Specialists I as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
