REMOTE - .NET Tech Lead

Insight Global is looking for a Remote .NET Technical Lead to assist in the design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable RESTful APIs. This individual will work with architects, product owners, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business goals. This person will not be managing a team but will collaborate with the Scrum Master and Software Engineering leaders to balance the work across the teams and serve as the primary steward for the team's delivery of functional software and processes. They will need to be well versed in .NET Core (version 6 or greater) to build and maintain API Gateways and utilize Azure cloud services to create reliable and scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

* Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience with .NET development, specifically .NET Core (version 6 or greater).

* Strong expertise in RESTful API design and development.

* Proficiency with Azure services (Azure App Services, Key Vault, SQL Azure, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, Redis Cache, Application Insights).

* Familiarity with API Gateway solutions (e.g., Azure API Management, Apigee).

* Strong understanding of modern enterprise design patterns (e.g., clean architecture, retry, cache-aside, CQRS, event-driven, pub/sub).

* Experience with OAuth 2.0 and secure API authentication.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Configuration management experience.

* Continuous integration and continuous deployment practices

* Knowledge of healthcare integration standards such as HL7 or FHIR (a plus).

* Knowledge of IaC platforms such as Terraform and Scalr (a plus)

* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.

* Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening and providing constructive feedback.

* Strong verbal communication skills.

* Excellent written communication for technical documentation.

* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

* Mobile development skills a plus.

* Responsive and/or adaptive design knowledge a plus.

* UI/UX principles a plus.

* Active participation in the technical community preferred.
