As a sub-division of Risk, Consumer and Transaction Banking Risk provides oversight of credit and operational risks in the firm's consumer and transaction banking businesses and contributes to the development and implementation of a standardized framework to identify, measure, and monitor operational risk across the businesses and the firm. The team is dedicated to actively enhancing the risk framework, employing, and strengthening risk management within the business and firmwide.Operational Risk is an independent risk management function (2nd line), responsible for developing and implementing a standardized framework to identify, measure, and monitor operational risk across the firm. This Operational Risk Coverage role is intended for an experienced professional with subject matter expertise in consumer deposits. This role requires an energetic self-starter that can liaise with stakeholders across business units and firmwide risk management teams both regionally and globally. Familiarity with offshore consumer operations and EU regulatory environment.Primary Responsibilities:Oversee operational risk framework within the second line of defense working closely with the first line stakeholders whilst providing robust and independent challengeReview and evaluate new business initiatives and firm acquisitions to identify regulatory requirements and changes to the operational risk profile of the divisionEngage with stakeholders within the consumer business on effective review and challenge of issues throughout the issues lifecycleFacilitate operational risk event management framework and data collection, including the detailed reviews of significant events to ensure appropriate remediation plans are implemented, and identification of trends to identify significant or emerging risks.Conduct assessments to monitor, challenge and ensure the risk and control self -assessment (RCSA) and tail scenarios remain accurately assessed and currentContribute to the advancement of operational risk methods and practices and the operational risk management framework.This role also requires continued contact and partnership with our global offices and outsourced partners

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience working in operational risk, relevant revenue generating division, or a control function (e.g., Compliance, Operational Risk or Audit)Proven track record with consumer deposits, including regulatory landscapeExcellent written, and verbal skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messagingThe ability to present with impact and build consensus across senior stakeholder groupsAbility to work at all levels of the firm in a fast-paced environment with a focus on deliveryQuick learner who can thrive working as part as a cross-regional team and individuallyStrong interpersonal and analytical skills and a penchant for problem solving are necessary for this role.Proficiency in MS-Office suite

Preferred:Business acquisition, risk management experience in Digital & Online banking area.Experience developing and deploying an operational risk framework for Consumer lending/bankingCertifications in risk management related fields
