The Montefiore RN maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing's Social Policy Statement. The Registered Nurse actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center. The RN participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

NYS RN license and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an R.N.

BSN Degree preferred

BLS required

Infection Control Training required

Oncology certification preferred

Required to obtain 12 CEUs per calendar year for a total of 36 CEUs over 3 years for or obtain OCN certification.

Willing to cover both infusion and practice areas

Effective English communication skills, both written and oral

Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems
