GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for leading key analytics projects and functions across Bryan Health. Works directly with leaders and stakeholders to use data, analytics, and insights to inform and drive strategy and execution. Responsible for identifying, scoping, analyzing, and creating analytics-based products (visualizations, reports, summary insights, etc.), while engaging with other analytics team members and departments as needed. Serves as a key analytics translator for supported departments and leaders across Bryan.

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Participates in or supports work stream planning process.

Works with customers, end-users, and analytics partners to gather and validate data requirements.

Develops and writes business requirements for the design of solutions; seeking advice from senior staff on more complex issues as needed.

Performs analysis using a variety of quantitative methods, identifying and extracting key insights and trends.

Creates analytics products and presentations for stakeholders using multiple methods and tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Epic, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

Communicates and presents findings and key insights to leaders and stakeholders.

Ensures data quality, governance, and standards are met.

Leads design and preparation of specific data sets and reports; works with individuals or teams to provide supporting data for analysis; determines appropriate date range, service area, population, sample size, and selection strategy.

Works directly with key leaders or teams to provide supporting data for analysis; including population criteria scope, analytics process, and delivery method.

Creates analytics products and performs external consultations for partner organizations as needed.

Supports Senior Management with data needed.

Keeps leadership informed of trends and key insights that impact Bryan Health.

Effectively facilitates and participates on multi-disciplinary teams; attends and participates in project meetings and activities.

Utilizes principles of continuous improvement and analytics best practices to execute work with minimal oversight.

Serves as a resource to analytics team members, providing coaching, training, and mentorship.

Coaches and trains clients in the use of data and analytics products.

Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.

Participates in meetings, committees, and department projects as assigned.

Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, Hospital Administration, Business, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Three (3) years of related work experience required. Prior healthcare experience is highly preferred. Prior Epic experience preferred.

WORK HOURS:

Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a requirement of three days per week in office.
