Candidates should be qualified janitors/cleaners with a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.Per State of California pay transparency law, the pay rate for this position is $18.00/hour + $4.41/hour H&W.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe employee will follow all rules and regulations relative to entering and leaving the building.Must be physically able to perform all duties and tasks in the statement of work and shall be free of communicable diseases.Must be able to utilize cleaning products, chemicals, vacuums, mops, wringers, dust tools, and floor machines.Must be able to use equipment such as ladders.Will report fires, hazardous conditions, and items in need of repair, such as dead lights, leaking faucets, toilet stoppage, etc.Basic cleaning tasks to include but are not limited to the following:Empty & Clean WastebasketsClean, Disinfect & Polish Water FountainReplenish SuppliesClean & SanitizeSpot CleaningVacuum all CarpetsSweep & Mop all Hard FloorsWipe Clean All Window Blinds and SillsInterior WindowsShampoo CarpetsStrip/Scrub/Rinse/Wax, Buff & Seal FloorsHigh Dust & CleanFollow established procedure methods for handling and mixing chemicals.SupervisionNoneMinimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Must have 1 year of experience of progressively responsible housekeeping/sanitation or other work that applies knowledge and skills to perform the position.Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.Ability to pass background checks & drug test.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of janitorial methods, practices, materials, tools, occupational hazards, and safety precautions of the janitorial work.Shareholder PreferencePursuant to PL 93-638, as amended, preference will be given to qualified Ahtna Native Corporation Shareholders, Descendants, and Spouses in all phases of employment.Core CompetenciesAbility to follow written and oral instructions.Demonstrates good customer relationship skills.Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described in this job description are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.Office building setting.Physical DemandsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
