A well-established law firm based in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on Aerospace litigation. This role is ideal for candidates with significant litigation experience who are eager to engage in a wide range of legal work within the aerospace sector. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to represent clients in various stages of litigation, working closely with a talented team of attorneys.Duties:
Represent clients in all aspects of litigation, including court hearings, case management conferences, and discovery processes.Perform oral and written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in both state and federal courts.Engage in active motion practice and oral advocacy in the courtroom.Provide strategic legal advice and consultation to clients.Manage litigation cases from inception through resolution.Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated case handling.Potential for involvement in aviation-related legal matters.Requirements:
Must be licensed to practice law in Illinois.Minimum of 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm or government setting.Strong analytical and writing skills are essential.Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative legal team.Experience with aviation law is a plus, but not required.Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active membership in the Illinois Bar.Certifications:
Illinois Bar admission is mandatory.Skills:
Proficient in conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.Strong oral and written communication abilities.Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Knowledge of state and federal court procedures.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build client relationships.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Job Location:
