This role reports to the Head of Strategic Remediation Oversight, Non-Financial Risk, and this individual will collaborate across the organization to drive strategic remediation efforts for operational risk issues.
The key responsibilities include:Provide effective review and challenge of critical Regulatory/Audit remediation initiatives across NTC including responses, remediation plans, remediation program, and regional and global key deliverablesIdentify and escalate gaps in NTC’s responses and remediation initiativesWorks cross-functionally with other staff to provide guidance to business and corporate functions in responding to regulatory or audit inquiries, responses, and remediation plans focused on operational riskWork closely with the Head of Strategic Remediation Oversight, Non-Financial Risk to ensure the support provided is robust and aligned with the remediation activities undertakenMaintain familiarity of and technical expertise with business unit(s) organizational structure,Stay current on non-financial risk regulatory rules and changes within the industryLeverage a strong peer network and tap the industry to identify leading practicesThe successful candidate will benefit from having:Required Skills / ExperienceA college or university degree7-10 years’ experience in financial services, with experience in a financial institution, or similar consulting experience in the financial services industry specifically in operations or a non-financial risk areaStrong organization, attention to detail, time management, planning skills and the ability to handle multiple competing prioritiesRequired CompetenciesExcellent interpersonal skills displaying the ability to engage diverse set of stakeholders, understand their viewpoints, build long-term relationships, create a collaborative and inspirational environment within the teamAbility to manage through substantial issuesAbility to lead without authority as neededConfidence and expertise to advise management#LI-LK2, #LI-HybridWorking with Us:As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
