Sr. Compensation Consultant

Medica’s Sr. Compensation Consultant will support the ongoing development of our compensation strategy in order to attract, retain and motivate employees while supporting business initiatives and growth. This position will participate in and facilitate various projects and assigned responsibilities in a fast paced and dynamic environment that has broad impacts across the enterprise.
This role is responsible for day-to-day administration of compensation policies and program and advises HR partners and company management on compensation policies and programs. This position conducts analyses of jobs and salaries in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance and makes recommendations regarding salary grades or market rates for specific jobs. The Sr. Compensation Consultant will be a strong contributor in the annual compensation activities such as the annual increase process, incentive participation letters and incentive payout process.
Key Accountabilities
Participate in the annual increase process, incentive payout calculations and communications, and incentive participation communications
Provide expertise, guidance and analytical support to business leaders and HRBPs on a range of day-to-day compensation issues, including market analysis for new positions and promotions, and addressing retention issues
Perform complex analysis to identify opportunities and make recommendations for the development or modification of various compensation programs (base pay, incentive pay, comp plan design, etc.)
Summarize and present recommendations and solutions to HR and business leaders
Produce workforce analytics, audit compensation data and identify trends that are affecting the business
Participate in the survey management process including survey selection, participation, results review and data migration to CompAnalyst (online market pricing tool)
Additional job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field
7+ years of related work experience beyond degree
Skill Requirements:
Excellent consultative skills and ability to build credibility with customers
Strong written/verbal communication skills and ability to work with management
Ability to manage multiple projects
Strong understanding of FLSA, Equal Pay and other applicable wage laws and regulations
Strong date and systems analytics and compensation modeling skills
Advanced Excel skills
This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office – Minnetonka, MN – for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.
The full salary range for this position is $85,000 - $145,700. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
