Senior Energy Consultant

to be a valued member of our expanding Building Science Group. In this role you will lead cutting edge consulting projects as part of a dynamic energy team. The expertise you bring will be pivotal as you provide guidance to building owners, architects and engineers to support sustainable design and optimization strategies. You will have a leading role in delivering energy consulting solutions to decarbonize large scale new developments and existing building portfolios.In this role, you will contribute to energy and sustainability planning projects for a wide range of buildings. You will support formulating comprehensive plans for achieving net-zero energy, carbon neutrality and energy resilience goals across various scales, from individual buildings to larger campuses and portfolios. This position presents an exciting opportunity to channel your skills and experience toward reshaping the energy landscape of tomorrow.The ideal candidate for this role should have:A degree in Engineering, Building Sciences, or related technical fields.Minimum of 7 years of experience in sustainable building design or energy sectors.Expertise in MEP systems, sustainable building design, electrified heating technologies, renewable energy and microgrid systems, and energy codes and standards.Expertise with software tools like IES-VE, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, and CBECC-com.Experience with data analytics, dashboarding, and programming (Python, R, SQL).Experience managing energy modeling, energy audit or retro-commissioning projects with large project teams and diverse client base.Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff and providing guidance on project efforts.Experience delivering building decarbonization plans for buildings, campus and portfolios.Ability to utilize advanced data analytics and effectively communicate analysis results.Professional certifications (PE, LEED AP, CEM, BEMP) are advantageous.In this role your responsibilities will include:Project manage and lead energy projects including energy modeling, energy audits, retro-commissioning, electrification feasibility, and decarbonization planning.Consult clients on energy efficiency, decarbonization and resiliency strategies and provide practical technical solutions to clients and internal project teams.Support and mentor energy team members, provide energy model and project QAQC reviews, improve internal project delivery workflows and support internal knowledge management.Stay current with industry trends, codes, and regulations related to building decarbonization and sustainability and provide technical leadership within the company.Support business development activities to expand Glumac's energy services including proposal writing, client presentations and attending industry events.Manage lasting client relationships and secure repeat work through high quality project delivery.This role presents a remote work arrangement; however, candidates must be located within the United States and authorized to work here. $100,000 - $150,000The base salary range represents the low and high end of the proposed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
