A distinguished and well-established law firm specializing in high-net-worth individuals and complex estate planning matters, is seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in trust and estate law, particularly in the areas of estate planning, trust administration, and probate. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a prestigious firm handling high-level, sophisticated matters for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a diverse and high-value caseload involving complex estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters.
Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related estate planning documents.
Advise clients on estate tax strategies, charitable giving, asset protection, and wealth transfer planning.
Represent clients in trust and estate litigation, including contested probates, will contests, and disputes involving fiduciaries.
Collaborate with other attorneys, tax advisors, financial planners, and accountants to create comprehensive estate plans.
Navigate complex issues related to asset valuation, tax considerations, and the management of multi-generational estates.
Stay up-to-date on evolving trust and estate laws and regulatory changes at the state and federal levels.
Cultivate and maintain client relationships, ensuring exceptional client service and the development of long-term client trust.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active and in good standing with the state bar.
6+ years of experience practicing Trusts and Estates law, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and complex estates.
Experience drafting sophisticated estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, and tax-related documents.
In-depth knowledge of estate tax laws, asset protection strategies, and fiduciary responsibilities.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple client matters simultaneously while delivering high-quality work and service.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
LL.M. in Taxation, Estate Planning, or a related field is a plus.
Experience with international estate planning or cross-border trust and estate issues.
Proven business development or client relationship management experience.
