We are looking for a current student who is pursuing a degree in Safety to join our Corporate Safety team as an Intern for the summer of 2025. This internship will allow for hands-on experience working on Safety projects and incidents for an engineering firm.This role will gain exposure to a wide variety of safety programs and will assist with coordinating safety duties in areas such as helping develop new safety programs, going on project site safety visits, completing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), working with our safety committee, and developing safety initiatives.This opportunity will expose you to our industry and give you direct involvement in shaping the safety culture of our employees. This position will have a hybrid work schedule and, when in the office, will work from our Kansas City, MO location the majority of the time, with some days being spent at our Kansas City, KS location.The Impact You Will Have
Assist in maintaining safety records, including Pre-Project Safety Plans, Job Hazard Analyses, training records, safety inspections, maintenance of the OSHA 300 log, maintenance of the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), Incident Investigations and Safety Dashboard Metrics.Assist in coordinating safety duties in areas such as safety committees, new safety programs, and safety initiatives.Assist in creating and developing safety programs for OSHA compliance and with Benesch's Health & Safety Manual.Assist with maintaining compliance with prequalification requirements of various subcontractor management platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta, independent clients).Assist in promoting safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations and client/contractual requirements.What You Will Need
