You will join our Environment and Health department
As our new Air Quality and Compliance Senior Consultant, you will be part of our interdisciplinary Westford, MA team. You will work with all levels of expertise from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. Consultants are part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job tasks. The duties of the position include:Preparing and assisting with the submission of Tier II and Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) reports to comply with the Emergency Planning Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA). Additional experience with Massachusetts TURA program is also a plus.Preparing comprehensive federal and state air permit application materials.Preparing and quantifying emissions estimates, including emission calculation spreadsheets and data bases for stationary and mobile sources.Preparing annual air emission inventories and air compliance reports.Working with clients to develop project air emissions data, documentation, and reports.Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations, compiling and drafting regulatory applicability determinations, and communicating findings to co-workers, clients, and regulatory agencies.Managing projects, clients, and regulatory agency relations and identifying and pursuing business development opportunities.Conducting site visits.Interacting with regulatory agencies.Meeting Ramboll and client safety training and workplace safety requirements.

For this role, your starting point is:B.S./M.S. degree in relevant science (environmental) or engineering discipline (chemical, environmental, civil, or similar).3 to 7+ years of experience in Environmental Compliance.Demonstrated experience with regulatory reporting, including under the Clean Air Act (CAA) and EPCRA is preferred. Experience with other environmental compliance programs also a plus (e.g. TURA, RCRA).An active MA Professional Engineer license is a plus.Strong written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated capabilities in understanding, interpreting, and applying environmental regulations to real-world situations.Excellent analytical and organizational skills.Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively with multiple project deadlines, prioritizing projects, and delivering quality work products on tight timelines.Demonstrated experience with air permitting and regulatory negotiations in permitting and enforcement matters.Demonstrated business development capabilities are a plus.
