As part of the EVCP Projects Team, the Organizational Consultant will use their extensive expertise in organizational development and effectiveness, business process analysis, change management, and strategic planning to advance projects that have EVCP-wide impact. This work requires a deep understanding of business needs and how systems, both technical and non-technical, support those needs. The incumbent will use their knowledge of organizational development concepts to help clients define and develop organizational objectives to resolve complex, often politically sensitive issues that have organization-wide impact, where analysis of circumstances and information requires an in-depth evaluation of factors, including EVCP structures and relevant institutional data. The incumbent exercises independent judgment in selecting the methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining business results.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.The salary range for this position is $164,400 - $253,300 (Annual Rate).Department Description

The Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost (EVCP) leads both UCSF's robust research enterprise as well as its highly ranked academic programs in health professions and graduate education, clinical care delivery, and community service. The EVCP portfolio is comprised of four professional schools and the Graduate Division. The EVCP works in close collaboration with the Chancellor and his leadership team to develop and implement campus priorities and vision, maintain the University's status as an international leader in health sciences education and research, and oversee external partnerships representing UCSF's best interests across the University of California system, at the UC Office of the President, and beyond.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training10 years directly related experience (in addition to degree)Expert knowledge of the organizational development and effectiveness field, theories, models to assess, design and implement customized organizational interventionsDemonstrates superior analytical, problem-solving, project planning and implementation skillsHave superior written, verbal and presentation skills for influencing and facilitating sustained changePossesses superior consulting, relationship building, and strategic thinking skillsDemonstrates superior strategic-thinking and consulting skills in guiding the organization toward workable strategies and solutionsAbility to facilitate and influence people at all levels. Ability to persuade through both logic and appeal to positive motivations.
