Summary:As a

Senior Consultant and Business Development Lead , this role will drive consulting projects while leading business development efforts for a small consulting cooperative focused on nonprofits and social enterprises. This role emphasizes relationship-building and strategic communication to enhance client engagement and business growth.Responsibilities:Consulting :Lead client projects, including needs assessments, collective impact, strategic planning, implementation, and facilitation.Collaborate with clients to identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices.Provide expertise in operations, technology, and/or strategy development.Business Development :Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and research.Build and maintain client relationships, understanding their challenges to tailor solutions.Develop proposals and respond to RFPs, coordinating discussions as necessary.Project Management :Plan and manage projects, assembling teams and ensuring effective collaboration.Oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables, contributing to project management systems.Facilitation :Guide client group sessions to meet objectives, utilizing best practices to foster engagement and effective outcomes.Qualifications:Proven business development experience, ideally in consulting for nonprofits.Strong project management skills with a track record of handling multiple projects.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with advanced listening and facilitation abilities.Preferred Experience:5+ years in a related role, with at least 3 years in business development.Familiarity with nonprofit CRM or database technology.Nonprofit sector experience is highly desirable.Compensation:Salary based on qualifications and experience (starting around $74K).Co-op ownership and profit sharing/patronage (eligible after 6 months).Benefits: PTO, 401k, paid holidays, and health insurance stipends.This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for nonprofit work and a strong background in business development and communications.
