What You'll Do:
The Senior Director, Digital Finance Transformation, will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing a transformative digital strategy within our finance organization. You will drive the adoption of generative AI, machine learning, and other cutting-edge digital technologies to streamline and automate processes, enhance decision-making, and unlock substantial value by creating enterprise leverage. This is a fixed term role needed for approximately two years on this important project. Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership and Change Management
Develop and articulate an innovative strategic roadmap for digital finance transformation that aligns with corporate objectives and fosters sustainable growth.
Drive a cultural transformation towards a digital-first mindset within the finance team, promoting agility, data-driven decision-making, and a proactive approach to change.
Digital Strategy (Generative AI & Machine Learning)
Spearhead the exploration, development, and implementation of generative AI and machine learning initiatives to redefine finance operations.
Collaborate with finance and operational teams to pinpoint high-impact use cases for generative AI and machine learning (e.g., forecasting accuracy, automated reporting) and prioritize based on potential value and feasibility.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with senior leaders across the global finance organization to prioritize strategic initiatives, craft compelling business cases, and secure buy-in for transformative projects.
Cultivate strong relationships with senior executives, finance leaders, and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor who integrates business acumen with digital capabilities.
Program Governance and Risk Management
Oversee the execution of high-impact digital projects, ensuring they deliver a return on investment, align with business goals, and integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks, implementing robust strategies that safeguard project success.
Performance Optimization
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of digital transformation initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with strategic goals.
Talent Development
Design and implement targeted upskilling programs to empower finance professionals with the digital competencies required for a future-ready organization.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will hold an undergraduate degree in finance, business, technology, or a related field; a master's degree (MBA, accounting, etc.) preferred. You should possess at least 10 years of experience in finance transformation, digital strategy, or related leadership roles, demonstrating a strong track record of driving successful large-scale initiatives. Other qualifications include:
Visionary leadership: A results-oriented mindset committed to fostering a culture of innovation.
Expertise: Deep knowledge of generative AI, machine learning, and other advanced digital technologies, with a strategic focus on their application within finance.
Finance acumen: Strong understanding of finance transformation principles, best practices, and industry trends.
Program management: Proven ability to manage complex programs, including planning, execution, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
Interpersonal skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Cultural sensitivity: Experience working in a global, distributed organization, with a proven ability to collaborate across diverse cultures.
Change management expertise: Demonstrated experience in leading transformational initiatives and managing organizational change in a fast-paced environment.
Self-confidence and leadership: A natural leader who inspires confidence both within and outside the Group Finance Function.
What We’ll Provide:
This is a fixed term position managing this project for approximately two years. The role is ideally based in the New York City or Chicagoland area, though remote-based candidates are encouraged to apply as we are prioritizing candidate fit over physical location.
In New York, this role will work a flexible hybrid model based in our New York Office, located in the Flatiron District.
In Chicago, this role will work a flexible hybrid model based at Wilson Sporting Goods Co. global headquarters.
