Our Business Model is designed around providing superior services to our clients nationally and internationally performing design-build and general construction projects.Lifecycle Construction Services is looking for a self-driven, talented Senior Accountant. A Senior Staff Accountant is a key member of the accounting team responsible for managing and overseeing various financial tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role typically involves a combination of day-to-day accounting operations, month-end and year-end close processes, and providing support for audits and financial analyses. This role is hybrid, with opportunities for both remote and in-office work.Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & General Ledger Management:Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Account Reconciliation:Perform bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.Reconcile intercompany accounts, and monitor outstanding items to ensure prompt resolution.Month-End and Year-End Close:Lead or support the month-end and year-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.Prepare adjusting journal entries, ensure proper allocation of expenses and revenue, and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.Compliance & Internal Controls:Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and financial regulations.Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.Assist with preparation for external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor queries.Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Experience:
3-5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations.Certifications:
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) preferred, but not required.Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.Ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
