Job Title: GIS Analyst
Location: Atlanta, GA (onsite)
Contract: 24-Months
The GIS Analyst will develop an understanding of current data state, workflows and processes and develop solutions for integrations, transformations and deliverables. This will include GIS data analysis, data mining, technical support and database maintenance to meet internal and external customers' requirements. This role requires demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and recommend regarding the best track for data development and processing. Project work will involve process improvement, quality control, data creation from spatial and tabular sources, conversion, migration and maintenance.
Required:• Experience with Esri geodatabase design, structure and management - including the manipulation of tabular data in GIS, and joining/linking related data• Intermediate knowledge of SQL and relational databases•
Thorough understanding of Esri ArcGIS (including ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox, ArcMap, ArcSDE and related products)• Knowledge of batch files and Python scripts to assist in repetitive daily activities• Ability to quickly learn new skills and abilities database technologies, data modeling, and scripting as needed
Preferred:•
Knowledge of publishing with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS, including data versioning, multiuser and replication•
Experience with Natural Gas Utility and/or working with Enterprise databases and geometric networks• Experience using Esri Data Reviewer and Workflow Manager Extensions• Experience converting data between CAD and GIS• Experience incorporating non-spatial Enterprise databases with GIS to fulfill ad hoc analysis requests• Development using Python, FME and/or Esri ModelBuilder• Strong understanding of content and document management applications

Technical project tasks, including database design, advanced GIS analysis and modelingPerforms data mining activities to meet customer requirements/specificationsProvides specialized queries, maps and reports to meet customer requirements/specificationsPerforms application testing and documentation of defectsInterfaces with Information Services (IS) GIS Support group; represents users' issuesInterfaces with users; documents requested/needed changesPerforms weekly analysis on mission critical GIS data to audit and sustain data integrityDevelop methods and perform quality assurance/quality control on GIS and non-spatial data to meet quality goalsServes as Subject Matter Expert on GIS projects and solution definition workshopsIdentifies training requirements; creates and maintains training and procedural documentationIdentifies new GIS technologies/processes/applications to improve inter-/intra- departmental functionsUses and creates automated processes using Model Builder/Python scripting or other toolsProcesses, prepares and converts data to enter into GIS from a variety of data formatsAnalyzes current business processes and recommends best practice solutions
