We offer a well lit and clean work environment.Job Overview:As an Auto Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing customer vehicles. We are currently seeking a candidate with a higher level of skills and abilities, but we are also seeking a candidate with basic skills with the desire to learn and excel. upstateauto@centralny.twcbc.com , call us at 518-891-1212 ext. 101 or stop by our Dealership at 469 Broadway, Saranac Lake, NY 12983.Responsibilities:*Inspect the vehicle and all its components thoroughly to determine the issue.*Keep the equipment and tools ready for checking the vehicles.*Repair or replace broken and damaged parts of the vehicles.*Conduct vehicle inspection sessions on a regular basis.*Manage the appearance of vehicles by washing, cleaning, and painting.*Monitor the inventory and keep supplies and tools.*Provide complete preventive maintenance work such as replacing filters, oil change, wheel balancing, and engine tune-ups.*Maintain and repair vehicles using computerized diagnostic for routine maintenance.*Conduct test drives and ensure that the vehicle is in good working condition.*Maintain and update the record of vehicles.Requirements:*High school diploma or Vocational institute certification.*A valid Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification will be an advantage.*Strong understanding of mechanical and electronic components of vehicles.*Positive, Professional attitude*Strong mechanic skills.*Ability to work well with others*Good time management skills.*Customer-oriented individual and an outstanding problem-solver. *Dependable*A keen eye on details.*Ability to work in teams.*Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks.*Honesty and respect for others*Strong work ethic.Benefits:*Immediate Full-time position*Comprehensive Benefit package.*Continual Technical Training.*Comfortable work environment.*$20-$33 per hour dependent on experience.Upstate Auto Service & Body Works is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
