Acme's Director -National Distribution will be responsible for developing and implementing Acme's national distribution strategy in addition to leading the daily aspects of our distribution business. This role will optimize the flow of goods between our current US operations in NY, FL, NC, and MA with site to an expansion of our business in the Midwest, West and South. This is a senior leadership opportunity that involves developing and managing the facilities, people, technology, and processes that will ensure efficient and effective operations that meet or exceed our customer expectations.

The ideal candidate must be able to operate at a strategic level while also rolling up their sleeves to solve daily challenges alongside their employees. The role is responsible for identifying and managing Capex investments and the annual budget for the distribution business. The leader will have at least10 years of experience leading the evolution of distribution centers that support food manufacturing businesses, with cold chain experience necessary. The Director will collaborate with Acme's Quality and Health and Safety Teams to ensure the proper certifications and training are in place to meet customer requirements and ensure the safety and wellbeing of teammates.

This role can be located in Brooklyn, NY or Wilmington, NC. Relocation Packages are available.

What You Will Do At Acme:

Lead the overall planning of the national distribution strategy for Acme over the first twelve months in the role, including the Capex investment requirements.Lead the transfer and optimization of inventories from Acme's NY's distribution business to NJ without disruption to operations with a go-live target date of April 1. Through this process, learn the rest of our distribution business to inform strategy.Build a team that will execute the daily operations of the refrigeration and cold storage facilities we operate, including receiving, warehousing, order assembly, and shipping of products.Optimize space utilization in NY and NJ, in addition materials move in and out of our production environments in NC, MA and Fl.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to warehousing, cold storage, food safety, and employee health and safety.Lead the adoption of our InforM3 Cloud Suite WMS to maximize efficiency and accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for all processes within our distribution network.Lead, train, and develop teams of warehouse staff, ensuring elevated levels of performance and engagement.Develop, monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate transportation of goods to meet our production plans.Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing innovative design layouts, inspecting equipment, and issuing work orders for repair and replacement.Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role will manage and oversee the entire Distribution center, managing multiple departments and direct reports.Directly supervise and lead warehouse staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and development align with the company goals.Provide leadership and guidance to ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations.Train, coach, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.Set goals and objectives for the warehouse team and monitor progress.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.About You

Your Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field, Master's degree a plus.10+ years of experience in distribution center management, with mandatory experience in leading cold storage and refrigerated facilities.7+ years of experience leading teams and managing multiple warehouses.Experience leading the successful development and implementation of a national Distribution Business strategy.Your Skills & Abilities:

Experience in successfully managing the movement of DCs to optimize contribution to the growth strategy of a company.Expert knowledge of inventory management, warehousing, and logistics processes.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.Proficiency in warehouse management systems and other relevant technology solutions.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and people skills.Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards in warehousing and logistics.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work.Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Up to 25% travel.Work environment - Office and production floor.The ability to work in cold (32-45°F) and wet environment.Prolonged periods of standing.Exposure to low level of noise on production floor.Exposure to uneven ground and floor angles.Stretching, bending, pulling, etc.Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.Health & Safety Requirements:

Observe and follow all safety rules.Wear required PPE.Follow mandated OSHA regulations.Report all incidents including near misses immediately.Compensation Range: $163,000 - $200,000 annually.

*This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
