Overview:
GI Endoscopy (GI Lab) is a procedural department. The broad patient population, including both outpatient and inpatient, come to the GI Lab for diagnosis screening and/or treatments. The minimally invasive surgical procedures primarily include colonoscopies and endoscopies, as well as advanced gallbladder cases.
Monday- Friday- hours bases on department needs3-4 Weekend Call Rotation per year- 0600 Saturday- 0630 Monday (48 hour coverage)One Holiday Call per year 0630-0630 (24 hour coverage)2-3 Late Shift per month- will stay till lab is closed, will extend beyond the scheduled shift.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing programPreferred Education:
BSNLicensure:
Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.Certifications:
Completes Hospital and required nursing competencies, mandatory in-services/MyEducation assignments and relevant certifications (ex. BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.) within required time frameExperience:
At least 1 year of RN experience.
