Garver is seeking a
Noise Specialist
to lead traffic noise studies for our transportation business line. The Noise Specialist will be familiar with multiple state DOT noise policies and will perform all aspects of traffic noise studies, including field measurements, monitoring sound level meter annual calibrations, TNM modeling, and report development. Garver currently provides detailed and screening level traffic noise services for several state DOTs. The Noise Specialist would be required to manage the noise aspect of multiple projects simultaneously and ensure compliance with scope, schedule, and budget, and assist in the preparation of noise sections of NEPA documents.
Preference will be given to those candidates who can demonstrate experience in FHWA's Traffic Noise Model (TNM 2.5) software, technical writing, CAD or Microstation, field noise data collection, and quality control reviews. Ideally, candidates shall demonstrate capabilities and experience in noise screening analysis, noise analysis for complex roadway improvements such as multi-level interchanges, and aviation noise modeling with AEDT.
Garver's Transportation Planning and Environmental Team is a growing, collaborative group offering our clients full-service environmental capabilities. This position will have the opportunity to make a daily impact on Garver's projects by being involved in a variety of project-types with diverse clients and internal project teams and expand our environmental services through high-quality work.
Required Skills
