I'm partnered with the CFO at a global, family-owned, multi-million dollar environmental company near Griffith, IN (2 days remote). The company partners with large, well-known manufacturing companies to recycle their hazardous waste. Due to growth and opportunities for internal mobility, they are now looking to bring on a Senior Accountant to join their team.
As the Senior Accountant, you will be a key financial member of the accounting team, working closely with the senior leaders and providing financial information to impact operating decisions. This individual will be responsible for managing 3 P&Ls and be a pivotal contributor to the month-end close process, working directly with the Accounting Manager who will be mentoring this individual within multiple facets of accounting and finance.
Job Description
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
Assist in the monthly general ledger close processPrepare and analyze financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure adherence to US GAAP and Global Accounting PoliciesIdentify opportunities for process improvement and lead their implementationCollaborate with cross-functional teams and provide training as necessaryReconcile financial data across different platforms to ensure accuracyResearch and interpret data to address accounting and financial inquiriesSupport various audit processesParticipate in ad hoc projects and perform additional accounting duties as neededMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
